Invest To Grow - We Are Recruiting A Full Time VA
It’s time to take the plunge. There are only so many hours in the day or evening! When you are building an internet business, there is only so much you can do with your time. You have to plan smart and work smart.
Our niche sites are growing and they are generating increasing revenues, some of which we invest back into the business on tools, software, ghostwriters and link building. However, we still complete a lot of the mundane tasks such as niche blog commenting, article writing (although we do have a few ghostwriters), site building etc.
We are spending more time working in the business rather than on the business.
That is why we are going to employ our own virtual assistant (VA) to take our business forward. We are investing to save time and investing to grow. We placed a post on www.odesk.com for a virtual assistant to work 20 to 30 hours per week in our business.
The successful candidate (Sunny) will work on building, growing and promoting existing and new niche sites. Initially for SEO, the successful candidate will be link building, blog commenting, providing do follow links to our sites. We will select 5 sites to test Sunny’s skills and abilities. Once we are happy with his output we will let him loose on setting up free and paid for platform sites – we will explain more about this in later posts.
How will this help?
This will free up our time to find new niches, develop new systems, build relationships and spend time growing this blog and the profit launcher brand and series of products. The next product in the series will be coming in January 2009 and will complement the EA Profit Launcher. We are very excited about this new product as we we have some top article marketers involved.
We can do this because we have put the time and effort to learn and fail fast, building from our successes and importantly growing from our failures and failures of others and investing profits. These are exciting times for us and they should be for you. And the investment in Sunny will help us grow even faster.
We will plan Sunnys tasks and monitor his output by using the mind mapping and task management software mindmeister recommended to us by Alex Jeffries. This is a superb piece of software that helps us record our ideas and tasks and manage their completion. This is extremely important to help us focus and prioritise.
We will keep you updated on ours and Sunny’s progress.
Please feel free to comment or hit us with any questions.

Hi guys, I’m just getting on board with you and so far you appear to be a breath of fresh air. I had a question about your niche sites that you mentioned in this latest post, are they static sites or blog sites or what type are they? not what type in theory that you recommend, I mean they type you actually generate revenue from. I ask because I’m tired of jumping around, I’d like to follow something proven, I know it depends on alot of factors and some will work and some won’t but I want a model to follow. I purchased EA profit launcher, wiil re-read asap
Hi Leaonard
Thanks for stopping by and your comments.
We mainly use static sits. There are advantages to using both, but we have a static site template that converts well for us.
Once they are built up to about 30+ pages we add another page every 8 to 12 weeks. We also have an initial phase of building backlinks to the main page and inner pages (deep links) and continue with this but at a much slower pace for a period of time afterwards.
We will be testing blogs on one or two specific niches we have idenitifed ( I am excited about their potential) in the Spring and we report our progress as it happens.
The EA Profit Launcher uses free blogs and third party sites such as blogger / squidoo.
These are great to start off with and many marketers earn a great living from these alone, but we do recommend you invest in your sites once you start earning some affiliate income.
Get back with any other questions.
To your success

Hi Leonard,
just to expand on what JJ added because I think its a good point to ask.
Our “money” sites are static sites - mainly because of the control you have over layout, adding/changing banners if needed, especially using PHP that can control every page.
Blogs do have an inital benefit with seo as it can be easier for newbies to add content, ping, rss etc. The search engines love new / updated content. But can be a pain to edit the template.
However, you can do all the exact same things with a static site, eg create your own RSS feed etc.
We use both, blogs for promoting our static sites usually.
It will come down to preference and making sure when you develop a money site you follow a good solid linking and content strategy.
Any questions just ask.
Merry Christmas
Jason
Hi Guys,
Nice to see that your businesses has reached this level. I’m hoping to be in your position by the end of next year. I’m still learning and I’m enjoying blogging and writing.
Now if I only start to make some money at this thing. I’d love to hear how you grew your business to it’s current level.
Btw, I’ve been getting killed by a spammer on my site and have taken some measures to fight against it. Come over and check out what I implemented.

Wow, I expect you guys to really start to motor. Not only are two heads better than one you’ve got another head (or 2/3 rd’s of one!!!) with employing a VA. Once I get to a point of earning a steady income it is something I will look to do and will follow your progress in this direction with interest.
I’m really looking forward to you guys contributing to future issues of the Profit Pulling Project Newsletter.

Hi JJ and Jason
Some interesting developments for your business which reflect how much effort you have put into to reach this point.
I have been very happy running static websites which generate steady income, but have not been focussed on list building and have just started learning about wordpress, which as you have said is a pain compared to a html site, but clearly has its virtues.
Thanks for popping over to http://AlanNeath.com to leave some comments and i have added you to the blog roll.
good luck and best wishes
Alan
Congratulations on your decision to hire a Virtual Assistant. I wish you the best of luck so that you can further educate people on the benefits of hiring a Virtual Assistant.
Hi Anthony - We started making regular income by niche affiliate marketing. We began by writing reviews of popular niche products, creating free blogs and then driving traffic via article marketing.
We now build our own sites and use a number of traffic strategies. We will document how we have got to this point and how we plan grow further on this blog under the ‘Our Journey’ section. It takes work, but it’s fun work:)
Hi Garry - We are looking forward to contributing. We have some great tips to share with everyone and we look forward to yours and other contributors tips.
Hi Alan - We are now spending more time on building/growing lists and developing relationships to complement our niche sites. This and leveraging our VAs time is what will grow our business to the next level in 2009.
To your success
JJ
